Adventure Overview

Experience the thrill of soaring above Tanzania’s iconic Tarangire Wilderness on a breathtaking hot air balloon safari. From sunrise skies to wildlife below, this once-in-a-lifetime journey offers panoramic views and unforgettable photo opportunities — perfect for families, friends, or corporate groups. Each balloon accommodates up to 16 passengers for a shared adventure like no other.

Areas of Operation

Tarangire (All year round):
Launch site is near Sopa Lodge (Nyuki special campsite), and the breakfast site is at our base just as you get on the Mpingo Ridge.

Photos for Lifetime Memories

Both the pilot and photographer will take complimentary photos before, during, and after the flight. Guests are also encouraged to take their own pictures.

What’s Not Included

• Return road transfers to camp/lodge: USD 100 per vehicle
• National Park entry fee (If staying outside park boundaries)

Important Limitations

This activity is not suitable for:

• Pregnant women
• Children under 5 or shorter than 1.2m
• Guests with serious neck or back injuries
• Guests with significant mobility challenges
• A minimum of 2 passengers is required for a flight to operate.

Pickup & Flight Preparation

• Guests are briefed the night before and must sign a waiver.
• Pickup between 3:00 AM and 5:00 AM, depending on the camp’s location.
• Light refreshments (Tanzanian coffee & cookies) served before the flight at the launch site.
• Safety briefing and flight preparation conducted on-site

Flight Experience

• Take-off: Around 6:30 AM, depending on weather.
• Witness the Tarangire sunrise and enjoy breathtaking views of the plains.
• Spot wildlife from above in total serenity.
• Landing may vary depending on the wind and terrain (Can be smooth or bumpy).
• Traditional Bubbly Celebration after landing.

Bush Breakfast Experience

After your landing and champagne celebration, you’ll be escorted to a specially prepared bush breakfast.

• Full refund: Cancelled 14+ days in advance.
• 50% refund: Cancelled 13–7 days in advance.
• 25% refund: Cancelled 6 days to 48 hours in advance.
• No refund: Within 48 hours or no-show
• Full refund if the flight is cancelled by us due to weather or safety concerns.
